milk + honey web exclusive. hosted by idris elba from brown paper dolls on Vimeo.
I decided to get involved with Milk + Honey because of the strong demand for content that is relatable and authentic.
Brown Paper Dolls has an intuitive way of displaying positive images of women throughout the series

Excellent work! I am excited to see where Nia (Purpose) and Will’s (desire, Protection) relationship goes. All the characters in the Milk & Honey series fascinate me. I am so proud of the work Brown Paper Dolls and you (along with the Headshell crew) are putting forth. We are in need of a series like this. I’m praying a network that allows you to move forward creatively (no restriction – allows this project to grow) picks it up and it gains a huge following. Keep shining!
I think that you and the Brown Paper Dolls have something. It has promise. I’ll be waiting in the wings to see the next episode. Whatever your mind set Idris do it all. Wishing nothing but the best. You deserve everything good. Now … be good. (smile) Take care friend.

Honestly speaking and I am hoping you want my honest feedback
, so here goes: It was just alright! It didn’t reach out and draw me into them or their chracters. Mind you, it was only 11 minutes long and 1 episode! The acting seemed a tad bit forced, kinda like “acting”! I want to feel as if I am right there in the scene with them! Again, it was only 11 minutes
Keep up the good work Driis! Here’s to success of the show..Cheers & Love ya ~T~
Love it & look forward to seeing more episodes..and you’re so right Idris, authentic and representative material is in such need..I feel the worlds crying out for this change. Wouldn’t it be great if we could (as Danny Glover said) ‘evolve as a world, as a society by giving voice, and expression to all cultures and all people’..wouldn’t that be something? to see series like Milk + Honey on a regular everyday basis..representing the unrepresented in a positive way until it becomes ‘the norm’ – (I know its a bit more complex than that but hey) we can live in hope..
Good on ya Mr Elba..keep on keeping on
