This is really wonderful!!! Music certainly soothes the savage soul and the savage beast. More of this (in my opinion) would help, even in a small way, to curtail so much of the world violence, and other problems occurring now. I know that my thinking on this issue is a bit of “fantasy”, and “trips the light fantastic”. But we all are allowed to “dream” —aren’t we? I can’t count the number of times I resort to playing my “give myself a hug” music to soothe and calm me when I’m angry, and/or having a “bear of a day”.
Music can, and does cross all gender/ethnic/cultural/religious/political barriers, and speaks to us ALL!
I’ve already gone to the Amazon site to download a purchase of this album. Besides ‘Redemption Song’ ——- ‘Groove in G’, ‘Satchita’, and of course John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ (my all time fav), will be worn out before the Summer is over. Looking forward to many pleasurable hours of relaxing, listening time.

Music is every man, and shows us through emotion that we are more alike than not… Music is of course, many things, has great power and can be whatever we want it to be… At it’s Greatest, it is LOVE.
When I listen to music (and not just the type, of my own native tongue), I’m so greatly moved with wonder, excitement and joy; Delighted by the beauty in each beat of a different (and oftentimes very far away) drum, one that opens not only my ears, but my eyes and heart even further to the visions of various peoples and lands. Music inspires me to want to visit, and to reach out more to experience more of the customs and languages, spiritual connections and mental bonds are forged or made stronger.. from listening to the music! Music is an everyday thing that makes me feel, experience, and remember that i am not only a citizen of the U.S., but a citizen of the World with many brothers and sister citizens of the World/Earth!!!
We have to keep Praying for change, as these musicians keep playing for change.

I just want to share that i’m proud of you..
My Greatgrandfather came to Canning Town through the docks in the early 1900′s from the West Indies – he was one of the first Black men in the Eastend and became the father of one of the first Mixed race families in Newham, bringing my Grandmother and her Sisters up in a very different London, and Canning Town to now.. he become a local councillor, despite what we can only imagine he was up against. I’m very proud of him, and of my history..and of you, your talent and all of your achievements..your light shines so bright Mr Elba..you take my breath away!
