2010
I don’t usually use this space to chat about film and TV projects
(I have other outlets for that),
but Legacy is one that especially means a lot to me.
Not only was it a remarkably challenging — and rewarding — work
to tackle as an actor, it is also the first film I executive produced,
but most of all I am proud that it presents the brilliant writer-director
Thomas Ikimi as a fresh, smart, ambitious voice to watch in world cinema.
It was an honour to premiere the film in London at
the Raindance Film Festival this past Friday,
and even more of one to see so many people in our hometown
show up to support our little independent film.
I hope many of you in the U.S. show up as well when
the film opens in eight cities on October 15,
a week after it screens at the Chicago Film Festival.
A list of cinemas scheduled to play the film and links to buy tickets are here,
and for more updates check the official Legacy site, Twitter and Facebook.

I’m sooo anticipating…Unfortunately, I don’t know that I can make the 6 hour trip to L.A. to catch the initial screening although I would love nothing more. However, intuitively I believe that it will make its way to to the rest of the country, as it is hard to deny brilliance. I wish you guys the best on, his first feature and your first stint as exec producer and (I’m assuming) most challenging yet rewarding role thus far. Cheers!
